Me and The Big Green C
So, I gave Dianna a new project, not long ago, and it came out pretty freakin' cool. As it turns out, it was perfect timing, as I used it for matrixleap's birthday party, which was "dress up as your favorite sci-fi/fantasy/comic/movie character".

Yes, I got her to crochet me a Cthulhu Ski Mask.

It's absolutely bad-ass, and it'll keep me warm in the winter. And, as you can see, I don't have to take it off to drink. Important feature!

By the way, Master has asked me what the Elwood shirt is. It's not from Blues Brothers, is it? Neither of us knows the reference :P

Every year, I go to the Lovecraft Film Festival. There's usually one night which has the "Secret Screening", which could be anything. Most years, among the other things shown, is a short film of Lovecraft's "Dreams in the Witch-House", and it is, without a doubt, one of the worst short films we've ever seen. Just terribly done. It's become the festival's "Rocky Horror" since we make fun of it as it plays. Anyway, the actor who performs the character of Frank Elwood is the worst actor in the film. One year, the festival's director had a few t-shirts made of this character, in his most memorable moment, and gave them to a few key people. The shirt in that pic is actually his personal one, which I won off of him a few years back, and is thus one of my prized possessions, and it was only a coincidence that I happened to wear it on this day...but oddly appropriate!

Re: Cool.
They are being sold through the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, and occasionally she takes a direct order from her Etsy site

Google search every week
I took a pic of this mask at HPLFF. I am disturbed by the fact that Flickr records at least one hit from a Google or Google Image search every week. More often 2 or 3.

Yes, every single week, someone in the world searches for "Cthulhu knit cap" (or just "Cthulhu cap") and clicks on the top link.

It's just not right.

Re: Google search every week
Heh, yeah, I missed the HPLFF this past year, but I knew that, with all the ones that got sold over the year since I wore the original, there would be at least a few showing up. Good to see they did.

I'd say it's VERY right. At the very least, the stars are so.
