When the first teasers for Resident Evil: Apocalypse came out, I liked what I saw. Sounded interesting...and now that we're on the cusp of it being out, I finally have seen the actual theatrical trailer, and all I can say is that I am bored.
Looks like they've taken all the potential horror and story out of it, and just pumped up the effects, action, guns, explosions, and completely non-believable stuntwork. *YAWN* I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. In a time where films like "2 Fast 2 Furious" and "Scooby Doo" not only get made but are box-office hits, why should anything that's actually good manage to keep a foothold...and even when it does, why should it be exempt from the Great Hollywood Sequel Machine?
I hate it here.
