Jon Stewart Kicks Ass
Jon Stewart is a God. Period. I gotta say, Jon rocks my socks, because he's smart. He thinks...something woefully unusual in America today, it seems.

For further proof, check out his appearance on CNN's "Crossfire". They brought him on, since he's basically panned them, over and over. Is he called on the carpet for his views and lines? Oh no, in fact, Jon does a good job of not only getting one back for the common man, but verbally smacking co-host Tucker Carlson, not once, not twice, but repeatedly...mostly because he's being a dunce.

Laugh Along With Me, Won't You?

Tucker Carlson is a schmuck. I hate the man. God, I want to stab him in the face.

I unfortunately cannot see this showing and that saddens me.
I would sign up for some free trial thing, but with the old computer putzing out on me, I don't even want to phathom without this one, so *shrugs* I'm glad you enjoyed yourself though.

Hmmm...should be able to stream it without joining...I don't pay anything to iFilm, either.

Well when I tried clicking onto the streaming part it kept opening up this window about registering. Maybe its my pc (or my connection).
I'll try later today when my hubby gets back home from work and see if he can help me figure it out.
(The easiest things are confusing to me hehe)

The highest stream (500) is sub only, but the 56 and 200 streams are free.

I thought the "verbal smacking" of Tucker Carlson was low and made Stewart look kind of like a 5 yearold asshole

Didn't his (stewarts) intonnation seem strange to anyone else?

He did seem to have some pronounciations that were a little "off", yeah.

low and made Stewart look kind of like a 5 yearold asshole
On the contrary, I thought it made a point that Carlson didn't want to face. Carlson had this idea in his head that he was going to show how Daily Show's political coverage was weak compared to his own, even though the Daily Show is a comedy piece and Crossfire is supposedly topical. Even when this was expressed, he wouldn't let go. He also seemed to think that having Stewart on Crossfire was going to be a comic interlude, and i don't think he was prepared to have to answer to criticism. He was the one that looked like an ass, to me.

I agree that Carlson was an ass, I just know from personal experience that name-calling generally makes one look less intelligent than one is and almost always makes anything you say seem stupid afterwards...it's a control thing and it's part of smart debate (and it's fucking hard to do, especially when one is excited/ emotional about an issue)

I do agree, in a smart and real debate, resorting to name-calling and ad hominem attacks pretty much means you suck and just can't defend yourself. In this case, though, it felt less like an inability to say anoything more constructive, and more like being more free with his speech than the usual gang of idiots they have on shows like this, and expressing an opinion that "the common man" has but doesn't get to say.

Jon kicks ass...he tells it like I'm usually thinking: straight to the point, no bullshit or pandering.

Oh, and you're welcome, of course. ;) ((HUGGZ))

I loved this. I watched it on the internet last weekend, and even managed to find the entire transpcript of it at unhappymeal.net. He's a very smart, witty, and on the ball. After watching this, you realize that you can't fuck with Jon Stewart, cause he'll throw your shit right back at you, and I love him for that. I love that he's able to see the bullshit for what it really is.

"Because, you're partisan, uh, you know.. hacks."

"I see you're as big a dick on your show as you are everywhere else."

I'd totally fucking vote for Jon Stewart for President.

I think my favourite line was when Carlson told him "you should teach a class at a journalism school', and Stewart shoots back "I think you should go to one"...fuckin' priceless.
