I understand if you don't know who this man was. You're probably American and don't know any better. But without John Robert Parker Ravenscoft, better known to the world as John Peel, some of the best music to hit the airwaves may not have gotten where it is. At the very least, the face of music would be drastically different, and not in a good way.
