I dunno how many of you are familiar with Spencer Tunick's photography, but it's been controversial, to say the least. This is probably because his work centers around nudes and there are entirely too many uptight, whiny prudes in the world. Not "artistic nudes" though, 99% of the time, but rather huge group shots in interesting locations.
Anyway, I guess one of his latest shoots was in Cleveland, and the local news station decided to cover the story in a different way...one of the show's anchors signed up to be a part of it, and the video of the experience was shown on the 11 o'clock news. Warnings were given, of course, but she did it and they showed it.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not thinking this was all about the art. It was a ratings coup, as well, no doubt. Still, though, she handled the whole thing very well, and I am impressed. "I'm my own person. I don't do anything I don't want to do for any job, or anything," she said. She also said that she expected the video of it to be on the Internet by 11:31, and that she was OK with that, since she was comfortable with herself and didn't so anything she didn't want to do or remember...so much kudos to her. You go, girl.
No, I don't have the video (I'm sure it's out there somewhere), but I did find some stills from the broadcast. For whatever reason, this is one journalist who gets my respect...and, at risk of being a pig, I gotta say, she's a hottie, to boot. ;)
