I spent most of mine up in an apple tree, trimming the branches. And, no, I don't mean tree-trimming as in holiday decorations, I mean tree-trimming as in big clippers and lots of little branches that needed to come off of it. Needless to say, my shoulders hurt...but then, what else is new.
Side note: playing 'Dungeon Siege' with Erik can sometimes be a real chore. He's digging it, a lot, but the game is more than a tad above what he normally is used to. Face it, his standard game is a simple console run'n'gun, typically. Not a lot of choices as to class or kit, just a character with a few weapons that you can switch between, and everything you find is a good thing to grab and use. Now, suddenly, he has a choice of class, and has to be aware of things like damage numbers, armour ratings, and the fact that not everything he finds is of any use to him. That in and of itself isn't so bad, it's making him think more critically, and that's a good thing. but, damn, he gets distracted and forgets what he's doing. We'll be running along, things start attacking, and he just kinda stands there. Ah well, in the end it's just a game, right? And I should be happy I have that, seeing as how I don't have the cash-flow to pay to play 'World of Warcraft'.
Got a couple movie passes from Rose and Ray...heh, they know me well, to say the least. And I got to order a couple things I wanted off the wishlist, so that's sorta b'day prez from me and Di both (collection of Pink Panther toons and an obscure CD that I'm damn sure none of you have and and very, very few have heard of - Fierce Ruling Diva's "Revolt of the Perverse", which I've wanted to replace for years, if for no other reason than it has the cover of Visage's "Fade To Grey").
So, another year come and gone. Whee. Gonna go watch The Saddest Music in the World.
