reddelicious: plans we were discussing the other day? Either weekend of January 22nd, or let's talk February...my weekends just got fairly occupied.
Need to see about getting the gaming started, which means contacting John and divinemissb...damn, I hope this all works out, I'm looking forward to it way too much...hey, strangewink, what do your Thursday nights look like?
Gotta see what's up on some payment for some work I did near the end of the year...one good note to not having been paid for it yet is that now it goes on next year's taxes instead.
Debating about putting some work up on my website. Part of me doesn't want to put these up there, as I don't feel like giving them any free advertising, but that site IS my online portfolio, and it's not as if any of these ad graphics have addresses (phone numbers, though). I know I'll do it in the end, I'm just being wishy-washy about it; after all, gotta promote myself, right?
Dammit, it's cold enough...where's my snow?
Climbed into bed last night, only to discover that my fuckin' lamp was broken. No clue how that happened, it was fine last night. Had to lay backwards in bed so that I had light to read by.
Here's an aside: why is it so hard for people to understand the concept of "respect my home"? not me specifically, no problem there, I mean in general. In recent memory, I've heard several accounts of angry situations from friends, all involving someone who is supposed to be a friend, or at least an acquaintance, who comes over and then in some way or another just does not respect the person's home. Have some fuckin' manners; you go to someone's house, and you respect that home as their dwelling, where things may be different than the way they are in your own home. THEY live there, not YOU, and as such, you don't act like an ass, nor do you allow those that may be WITH you to act out. This could easily lead into another rant about people policing their children, but I won't go there right now. Point is, I'm hearing too many instances of disrespect within someone's own home, and whiny, stupid excuses given for that disrespect. NO EXCUSE. Respect my home or don't come over.
Well, since I finally had some meat to this post, I'll stop while I'm ahead.
