Random Monday Morning
Absolutely nothing going on today. Should just go back to bed.

reddelicious: plans we were discussing the other day? Either weekend of January 22nd, or let's talk weekends just got fairly occupied.

Need to see about getting the gaming started, which means contacting John and divinemissb...damn, I hope this all works out, I'm looking forward to it way too much...hey, strangewink, what do your Thursday nights look like?

Gotta see what's up on some payment for some work I did near the end of the good note to not having been paid for it yet is that now it goes on next year's taxes instead.

Debating about putting some work up on my website. Part of me doesn't want to put these up there, as I don't feel like giving them any free advertising, but that site IS my online portfolio, and it's not as if any of these ad graphics have addresses (phone numbers, though). I know I'll do it in the end, I'm just being wishy-washy about it; after all, gotta promote myself, right?

Dammit, it's cold enough...where's my snow?

Climbed into bed last night, only to discover that my fuckin' lamp was broken. No clue how that happened, it was fine last night. Had to lay backwards in bed so that I had light to read by.

Here's an aside: why is it so hard for people to understand the concept of "respect my home"? not me specifically, no problem there, I mean in general. In recent memory, I've heard several accounts of angry situations from friends, all involving someone who is supposed to be a friend, or at least an acquaintance, who comes over and then in some way or another just does not respect the person's home. Have some fuckin' manners; you go to someone's house, and you respect that home as their dwelling, where things may be different than the way they are in your own home. THEY live there, not YOU, and as such, you don't act like an ass, nor do you allow those that may be WITH you to act out. This could easily lead into another rant about people policing their children, but I won't go there right now. Point is, I'm hearing too many instances of disrespect within someone's own home, and whiny, stupid excuses given for that disrespect. NO EXCUSE. Respect my home or don't come over.

Well, since I finally had some meat to this post, I'll stop while I'm ahead.

I'm not the only one? At least mine is semi-resolved. It was so nice this weekend without her over. *happy sigh*

If you have the original psd files, you could just hide the address and phonenumber if it is not a prominent and important part of the design. That way you can display your work and at the same time not promote companies who have done nothing but give you ulcers.

Well, to be fair, only one of them was a real headache, and I'm not impresssed with the way that one came out ion the end anyway, so it wouldn't go up. most of the rest of them were a dawdle, easy as pie.

As for corporate logo work, well, there's one that was a erious headache, but I may put up anyway, just to have it on file that it was my work and it was a bad situation (I don't completely trust them not to use the artwork, there's already been an issue with that), but I dunno, we'll see.

I say fuck 'em

Go ahead and put the things on your site, not like the majority of the viewing populace will be needing thier services, especially if you add in a comment on thier behavior towards you. Nobody wants to do business with people like that.

Yeah, that's what I figure: the chances of someone checking my site and actually getting hold of them are slim, so it's not like I'm really helping them out.

For business reasons, though, I doubt I'll say anything about them, personally. Just looks unprofessional. But I'll leave a couple of them out, regardless.

Rain and or snow forcast for Friday, but we seem to out of the local forcast area. Last year it was falling everywhere and the news kept saying, no snow, no snow. Best weather report, look outside. Cold, clear, damn!

Here's an old story of monumental disrespect in my home. I caught one of my boyfriends prepping my cat for a shave job with a shiny can of menthol barbasol. 15 years later, I'm still pissed about it. :D

I suppose it was *considerate* of him to think of my cat's sensitive skin, hoping to avoid any nasty razor burn.....
