Change Of Plans

OK, so yesterday, I might as well not have gone out. We got out there, and eventually some extras showed up. I say some, because, by the end of the night, less than half the people that were supposed to make it, made it. Part of this may have been due to some confusing directions...it really was out in the middle of nowhere.

Now, Tim and I were there as Security, but since we were out on private property, the need was much less. The other job we had was escorting extras from make-up to the set (since we were dealing with nudity, we wanted the extra peace of mind for people), but since that was a whopping 20 feet, the make-up people went ahead and did it. In the end, we sat around all night, doing NOTHING.

Eventually, we left for home, and ran out of gas on the Interstate, about 3 miles form the house. Luckily, we kept the thing running long enough to hit the exit ramp, and it died right at the top. So, I got out and pushed the car down the road (Once I had it going, Tim got out and helped while steering), and we shoved it down to the gas station...which was closed. Thankfully, some young guy in a convertible was behind us, and he gave Tim a ride down to another gas station, and brought him back with some gas.

By the time I got home, I was wiped out. Still sat around talking with Di until we fell asleep at 3:30am. Knowing Tim was picking me up today at 8am, I was not looking forward to this morning. As it turns out, I was awake at 6:30...*groan*...and felt like shit on toast. I called Tim at 7:30 and told him that I wasn't gonna make it...I think the cold night air helped me get sick again. Joy.

Well, the upside is Di doesn't have to be home alone all day, and we can get a few things done.
