Hey, if you visit or use Yahoo! in any way, you should be aware of the fact that they have updated their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The only reason I bring this up is the fact that they are now apparently using "web beacons" to access the Yahoo! cookie in your browser for marketing and advertising purposes. Just one more annoyance that the Web brings you, free of charge. Luckily, they were nice enough to give you the ability to opt off of their usage...though, in true corporate fashion, they've made it hard to find. Visit this page to get more information and to find the link to opt out. Note that this only works for the computer and browser you are currently using, so if you have more than one browser on your machine, it's worth it to hit the link from each.

Fan of Gary Brolsma? You might know him as the "Numa Numa Guy" (bopping along to O-Zone's "Dragostea Din Tei"). Anyway, hit his site sometime, if you need to kill some time, and check out the collection of all the parody videos, etc. Hey, I give this guy a lot of credit: not only has he taken the initiative to get his 15 minutes of fame out of this, but he's been good-natured about it all, and enjoyed it...and not tried to milk it for something else. See, this is where the last few of these sort of guys has failed (in my opinion). Ghyslain Reza, the "Star Wars Kid", went all whiny and needed therapy, etc., when he could have just sat back and said "Hey, I'm known all over the world, and you're not." William Hung, the American Idol set-up, turned himself into a corporate icon, doing appearances and commercials, and just made it so I can't stand the sight of him now...he went too far, and now he's just annoying. Gary here, he seems to just be surfing on the wave of Internet interest; let's hope it stays there. Now, maybe "Boom Goes The Dynamite" Guy will take a hint. I feel sorry for him, I really do. I was an actor and a communications major for most of the time I was in college; I know how that "oops, screwed up on a live performance" feeling just kills ya, but you gotta stand up and try again. Hope he doesn't fold.
