Revelation! 666 is not the number of the beast (it's a devilish 616)
Apparently, a newly discovered fragment of the New Testament is being deciphered. Professor David Parker, Professor of New Testament Textual Criticism and Paleography at the University of Birmingham, says that it shows the 'Number of the Beast' as 616, not 666...and that, gematrically, it refers to Caligula.
The article gave me a small extra smile, on top of this: for some reason, I can't stop giggling at the idea of discovering and exploring "historic dumps"...I bet there's some interesting shit in them. Hey, some of that crap's worth a lot of money!
