Expand Your Mind

Spent so much time playing Dungeon Lords yesterday, I completely forgot to follow up on this (more about that later).

As to the answer? Surprisingly enough, there would be the same amount of each in the other. This old puzzle is often tackled using mathematical formulas, or the much easier and sudden "Aha!" it would appear that the milk would have more Kahlua than the Kahlua had milk, because, in the second pouring, the mixture is no longer pure. However, since there is once again a full litre of each liquid, whatever amount of Kahlua that was removed had to be replaced with the same amount of milk. The key to this puzzle is realizing that we are left with two one-litre containers of liquid. A couple of you figured this out with Legos, and it was an excellent manoeuvre.

Well, though a day late, here's the weekend quickies:
1. Barney Dribble is carrying a pillow case full of feathers. Hardy Pyle is carrying three pillow cases the same size as Barney's, yet Hardy's load is lighter. How can this be?

2. Kerry Queen, a professional writer, was sitting in his cabin writing a letter. There was a violent electrical storm outside and suddenly Kerry died. How did he die?

3. Before Mount Everest was discovered, what was the highest mountain on earth?
