Weird Feeling
Through links within links, I ran across a journal of someone that I used to have on my friends list, but later dropped. No bad feelings, anything like that, the person just didn't post that much, half of what they DID post I didn't bother reading, and they rarely if ever responded to comments, so I just felt like a voyeur, with little to be watching. Like I said, nothing bad, just trimmed some fat from the friends list, you know (probably doing some of that again soon, no offence to anyone that gets hit).

Anyway, in the time since I last "saw" this person, she's gotten married and had kids, and settled down a bit. Wow, was that weird to see. I'm happy for her, of course, she'd radiantly happy and that's great, but it was just such a shock.

Ah, well.

Settling down has been good for me, personally, and I'm MUCH, much happier than I was when I was living considerably more on the edge as it were.

I'm sure many people who knew me back in my wilder days (and they were pretty wild, I'm the first to admit) are probably shocked at my behavior over the last couple of years as well. I was one of those "I'll never get married and I don't like kids" kinda people.

So, all I can say (since I don't know the person) is, so long as she's happy...

Bro', gotta tell you, seeing how happy you've been has kicked ass.

Thanks, man. It's been a pretty odd trip at times, getting to where I am now, but little by little, everthing is falling into place. And that's a good feeling. Much better than waking up hungover every morning wondering where I was going to get drugs that day, or if my girlfriend at the time was sleeping with the latest "photographer" she was "working" with. What a disaster!

The six degrees of Live Journal-dom always gets me. With so many people on this service, you'd think it would be harder to bump into people you once had on your friends list or once knew in some other way.

kind of like waking up from Cryo forty years later and finding Taco Bell bought everyone out.

Well, as long as Stallone isn't there as well, I guess I could live with it.

You'd rather have Snipes over Stallone?

My life is on terminal stagnant, so it always both irritates me and makes me happy when I hear about someone elses being in overdrive. Hope you're feeling better.
