strangewink, you'd have died and gone to glory, I think. Plenty of great comments, but the best had to be Scott, my nephew, who turned to me and exclaimed "You bastard! You're making me eat...I can't stop!" If that's not a compliment to my cooking, I don't know what is.Only minor mishap was the large fireball I managed to blow off in my own face, lighting the grill. Damn gas grills...singed my eyebrows, eyelashes, moustache, hand and wrist. Very cool looking, though. I turned on the gas, and Rose asked me something, so I turned to her to answer before lighting the grill...bad idea. Gas had built up, and reacted badly. ;) Anyway, no harm done.
Today was also the "acid test" of the playground, since there would actually be kids there. I'm happy to report that they loved it. There's still one last tiny bit we want to add, but for the most part, we're done. For better pix that show the "secret path" as well as the play area, check here.
