Didn't sleep well, so getting up was oh-so-fun. Got going, discovered the 7-11 I stopped at did not have my Monster, just the "low carb" version, which didn't seem to do much of anything.
While waiting at Di's office for her Dad to pick me up, I tried calling nythien. For those of you keeping score at home, it's now been 6 months since I've heard from her. Every time I call, it goes to voicemail, and I leave a little note. Imagine my surprise when someone answered this time. It was her Mom, don't get your hopes up. Short version: she told me that Jessica doesn't live there anymore, and she doesn't know her new phone number. *blink* Well, interesting. She told me that if I wanted to leave a message, she'd make sure Jessica got it if she ever called in to check, so I did. I'm not sure what to make of that, to be honest. Oh well, hope springs eternal, right? One day, one day...
Anyway, got picked up, spent a fucking hour wandering around Lowe's, looking for the proper screws for our work today (man, gimme Home Depot anyway, that place sucked) and metal edging, and came out to the farm. Went back to work on the metal siding...again, in the cold, wind, and eventually rain...well, all but the doors are now finished. Only one moment of getting completely annoyed with Ray, and, as usual, in the end, got my way through careful, quiet, and devious manipulation.
Now, gonna eat some crappy pizza, rack the Cabernet Sauvignon, and try to get him to go ahead and take me home. I could use some quiet time.
