Gamer's Advantages and VD Crock

According to a recent study, kids playing video games, listening to music, etc., simultaneously, not only get a dexterity workout, but a mental one, too. Basically, in tests of tricky logic, they scored higher than non-game-players, due to them being able to switch from one thing to another, quickly, and tune out distractions. If they were bilingual? Even higher scores. Something to think about.

And let me just say this. I haven't bothered with Valentine's wishes, because A)everyday with my love is great and I don't need a special day, B)it's so commercialized now that it's just goofy, and C)you're getting enough of that elsewhere. But, one thing that finally prompted me to speak is this "Singles Awareness Day" bullshit going on. What kind of crap is this? Have we gotten so mired in PC craperoo that we cannot have a day that celebrates anything, for fear that someone that doesn't happen to have whatever it is to celebrate might get, *GASP* hurt or offended?!? Fuck me sideways, this is just stupid. "Singles Awareness", are y'kidding me? Fucking hell, if you're single, and you don't like it, do something about it. I'm well aware of the fact that some people are not dating/married, yes. This doesn't mean I'm going to cut down my showing my love to those I choose, and if they don't like it, they can fucking deal. Buncha whiny pussies, cripes. What's next? On the upcoming St. Patrick's Day, are we going to have "Every-other-country-of-origin Awareness"? Shut the fuck up.
