Cripes...here's a thought, why not just ASK people what/how they think of you, if you're so interested? Enough with the "johari" links, y'all.

You know what? You wanna tell me what you think of me, good or bad, you go right ahead. Absolute freedom to say whatever you want, no recriminations. No, I'm not making the comments screened or anonymous, 'cause if you won't stand up for what you say, then you don't need to be saying it.

I always look forward to reading what you say and I always get my coolest news from you. I do miss talking to you online though. Haven't seen you there in ages.

I just thought it was interesting from a sociological standpoint, and I was curious.

That being said, you've always been honest and straightforward about how you feel about people, and never afraid to speak your mind.

Oh, how's that cabernet coming along? Isn't that the one you mentioned should be ready soon?

The Cabernet Sauvignon should be ready for bottling in a week. Then it'll need at least three months of gaing, maybe six. Looks and smells GREAT.

Mmm... sounds delicious :)

i sure don't agree with everything you say, but you rock.

And just about all of my friends did the little johari thing. i thought it was cute, and figured everyone would put their actual name, so it didn't seem roundabout to me.

I don't think there's anything so wrong with doing that meme, any more than any other inane, "here's why I'm so great" quiz. If you don't like it, you certainly don't have to participate. I agree with Kelli, I figured you'd all just use your handles, so I'd know. Plus, I think it's interesting to see which words are picked out versus the ones I'd expect, from a psychological standpoint.

I think the reason stuff like the johari page is so popular is that we (collectively) seldom actually say what we think about each other, positive or negative. Lack of opportunity, or fear of offending or feeling silly, or some other reason, who knows?

I think it was interesting ... for one thing, I chose "introverted" as one of the words to describe me, and not only did no one else choose it so far, a couple of people chose "extroverted". Apparently I hide my shyness fairly well? I also chose "proud" and "self-conscious", which no one else has chosen, either. Kinda interesting to ponder.

As for you ... you pretty much rock my socks. I wish I could spend more time/do more stuff with you and Di.

Though I have never met you in person I know that if you are a friend of my brother then you are worth becoming a friend of mine. I hope to meet you in person one day, have a brew/ Tequila or something like that, maybe a burger or two. I find your creative insight unique, and original, transforming something simple into a one-of-a-kind work of art. From what I know, you speak your mind, and are very honest with it. I have hopes that I can help you out in some sort of way, and you would be so kind to return a favor someday. Afterall, what are friends for?

You wanna tell me what you think of me

You, sir, are a shaggy bastard.

And proud of it!
The Cynic: little feetdiscordian on February 16th, 2006 05:22 pm (UTC)
Which probably only serves to increase your bastardness value. *LOL*

You goddamn... uhhh, Washington State resident!!

So there!
celticcross13celticcross13 on February 16th, 2006 05:23 pm (UTC)
hmmmm...well, I think you're hard headed, boorish, obnoxious, opinionated, controversial, non-conformist, offensive, malevolent, dangerously intelligent, scornful, hilarious, depraved, creative, fascinating and damn sexy. :p

God of Thunder and Rock'n'Rollarchmage on February 16th, 2006 07:42 pm (UTC)
Boorish? Ouch.
celticcross13celticcross13 on February 16th, 2006 08:33 pm (UTC)
Hmmm...bad choice of words (now that I look that up). I meant it in the "rough & tumble" sense, but I see some other meanings that are definitely off-base. My humble apologies.

damn, I hate it when I make a fool of myself. *kick kick*
Skeletoncrewskeletoncrew on February 16th, 2006 07:01 pm (UTC)
What?! You want us to just, just...ask people what they think of us?! That's sacrilege! Revolutionary! Its against the moral fiber of our proud nation! :p

Seriously, not enough people are straightforward in this world. I like the fact that you are. You're also cute and have a near-Doppleganger in Portland. I saw him a couple days ago at the grocery store and thought it was you until I noticed that his hair is much longer than yours, and he's a bit slimmer. Other than that though...same style of dress and similar looks.

God of Thunder and Rock'n'Roll: Archmage Chaosarchmage on February 16th, 2006 07:42 pm (UTC)
Creeeeeeepy.
Skeletoncrewskeletoncrew on February 16th, 2006 07:57 pm (UTC)
I apparently have one as well. About three years ago I went downtown for about the first time, and ended up having an elevator conversation with someone who acted like they knew and worked with me, but I'd never met this woman before.
Rowennalapis_lunamoth on February 17th, 2006 04:50 pm (UTC)
Yay! I really do dislike those memes. Mostly, I admit, because I don't have time to mess around with frivolous crap like that, but also because it's just cute and I get enough cute with my daughter...don't need any more, thanks, she's more than enough.
