Another Case Of Why Humans Suck
Oregon Teen Gets Detention For Not Apologizing - Short version of the story: kid and his friend standing in line at a deli. While goofing around, kid pinches/twists friend's nipple. Friend's parents complain, and kid is convicted of "offensive physical touching", gets $67 fine, three days community service, and has to go through some four-session victim-offender program. In it, he is supposed to write a letter and is required to describe the act in detail, explain "thinking errors," "express empathy" and describe any resultant life changes. He does this, and is told he has to add a section that describes his "criminal thought processes." He balks, and now has to do four days in Juvenile Detention, for "willful violation of the court order."

So, in the end, this kid gets a juvenile record and gets locked up...because him and a friend were horse-playing, and someone's parents got their panties in a twist. Ask me, the only ones that need a class and some incarceration are those parents.

When I was a kid (and yeah, saying that just proves that I'm an old fart), I saw students expelled and jailed for arson, rape, and attempted murder. You know, actual *crimes*. Playing grabass isn't a godsdamned crime, and the kid who got his titty twisted is a whining little shit.

Congratulations to the staff and parents; they've just created another bitter outcast.

That's really fucked up. When I was in school, kids would get wedgies, stuff in lockers, thrown in garbage cans etc... and if the 'offenders' were ever caught they just had to apologise and maybe get detention.

And that's just a titty twister... I can't believe valuble time was wasted on this 'issue'.
Man, I really hate people.
