I'm Such A Homebody

- Slept a little funky for the second night running. Not too bad, just something I had to shake off before I could get my shit together. Glad I did, though, sine I had house cleaning to do today, and laundry, and a fish tank to clean, and I should go get dinner started...but that's gonna wait, sine Dianna is gonna be a little late.

- Still trying to grow out this split/fucked-up fingernail. Really fuckin' tired of catching it on every damn thing.

- Haven't really talked about the diet/weight loss I've been trying to do. However, it is going well. Last time I weighed myself, sometime before I started (should have done it just as I started, but didn't), I had hit 308. Yeah, that was depressing. Anyway, been trying to get more exercise (and not always doing that, sadly) and been very careful about my calorie intake, and I'm pretty damn happy to say I'm down to 288, as of Sunday. Still feeling good, haven't been starving, knees are feeling better, so this all must be working, huh? If I can make it to 250, I'm gonna be a happy guy. If I can get back into my leather pants or my really-comfy-but-hideously-coloured dragon pants, I'll be REALLY happy.

- Making different characters on CoH, some get saved, others get deleted. Some were just experiments, and I knew I wasn't keeping them. Others I liked the idea, but found them to be only good in support, and when I can't find teams, they're no fun. Speaking of teams, I had a bit of a revelation last night. When I've got some new character, and I'm trying to get him to some semblance of usability quickly, I'll look for a sewer team, right? Well, having done this a lot lately, I've found that I bitch about those teams a LOT. It finally dawned on me that the reason they piss me off is that the sewer runs are usually not people trying to get a character up for play, but are kids who are in it only for the sheer joy of running aimlessly around killing. These are the same people who end up pissing me off in PvP, because all they want to do is kill, they have no interest in role-play or the setting/storyline of the game. I'm much more in it for the game, and I like trying to role-play my character...but that's pretty hard when the team you are on spends four straight hours talking about their former characters on Anarchy Online, or somebody is constantly bugging everyone else about what works best in PvP, or is just goofing off. So, just need to remember that when using sewer runs for quick XP.

- Snagged some nifty flicks at the movie exchange. Found Fulci's House by the Cemetery, the "ultimate edition" of The Mummy, the 35th anniversary edition of Planet of the Apes, and a kung-fu flick I've been trying to find for years, Ninja Wars. Yeah, not bad, not bad at all.
