I guess you've all heard by now that Pluto is no longer considered a planet by the new guidelines that the International Astronomical Union set up. Sure, my first thought was "um...ok", but after reading what the guidelines really were, and what the IAU is doing about it all, I'm quite excited. Yes, this means all those science books need to be redone, since our solar system is now eight planets, not nine, but making Pluto a "dwarf planet" also means we can more accurately classify other dwarf planets and celestial bodies. Science marches on, baby.
Well, it's off into CoH land for me, but, before I go, here's a damn cool watch.
