Some Days...

So, let's see. Got up, got going, got breakfast (mmmm, yummy breffas). Dropped a load of stuff off at Goodwill, cashed my check, ran by the comics shop. Gabbed with the fellow geeks for a bit, bought a load of comics, drooled over some other nifty swag. Hit the furniture store, looking at couches (and some incredibly cool chairs that were too expensive and I have no room for). Ended up running to the store, as I need new jeans and Dianna was looking at other clothes. Bought said apparel, a movie, and a new memory card fro her camera. We go to check out, Di realizes she's left her planner (which she uses instead of a purse) in the bathroom, so she runs off to get it while I complete our purchase and wait for her.

Yep. You guessed it. It's gone.

In the time it was left, someone stole it. Driver's license, bank cards/checks, various other things and sundry crapola. Needless to say, this was not great. Luckily, a quick trip back to the bank was easy enough, and they were very helpful in getting the account closed and opening a new account with the balance. So that was smooth. She's now getting together the things she'll need to replace the driver's license. Everything else was non-critical and not a problem, really; she'll have to get new medical cards, but that won't be hard. Mostly, it was just a real shock to her system to have this happen. Also luckily, we have cash on hand to get us through the time between now and getting the new ATM card, so no struggle.

Day ain't over yet. ;)
