Hmm. Well.
OK, so, Comcast Guy shows up. Decent enough guy, and geeky enough to like comics and Transformers, so we had a lot to chat about. Anyway, we looked at a few things, and checked a few others, and he sat around and surfed my 'Net, looking for the problem to show...and, just like any mechanic situation, it never does it while they are looking. Just as he left, the connection drop happened AGAIN, and I was able to catch him before he left. In the end, though, he's got nothing to really go on.
I did catch one interesting thing. He says one of the maintenance guys has had trouble with noise on the line in this area, but hasn't been able to track down the source. This could account for my issue, too. Lovely how all these guys never really get together on anything...
In the end, nothing he can do right now. He'll call me back tonight and see how things have gone, and if they aren't good, he'll start the ball rolling on doing more deep investigation. Yeah, so, no actual advance on the problem, but a lot of talk and promises. *sigh*
DSL is looking better and better.
