I'm sorry to keep harping on this, but dammit, we all know how I feel about celebrities in general. I find it HIGH-LARIOUS that the judge is having a hearing (right now) to see if Paris Hilton has to go BACK to jail. Me, I'd like to see her not only go back in, but have to serve the whole term (this "one day off for each good behaviour day" thing is a crock). Actually, turns out that due to prison overcrowding, a large number of non-violent offenders end up only serving something like 10% of their sentences in jail anyway, but the fact is, this case is being watched. Show any leniency, and all you do is reinforce that the rich and famous are given special treatment.

My favourite quote so far: A friend of Hilton's said the hotel heiress was not physically ill, but had been found "mentally unfit'' to remain behind bars. "She seemed like she was going bananas in jail,'' the friend said. "Paris was homesick and missed her pets.'' Well, boo fuckin' hoo...welcome to JAIL. Wouldn't it be nice if any of US could get out of jail to relax in our 4-bedroom 3-bath mansion, just because we missed our dog?
