Stopped in at Chipotle on the way home since it was nearby...man, good stuff. Rest of the evening has been good apart from two minor things: one, my digestive system is mad at me for something (probably the greasy popcorn at the movie), and two, the front impeller fan on my computer is starting to buzz. Not sure why, but it's definitely annoying (and, with my normal 'panic mode' reaction to anything wrong with my computer, mild Hell), and it's not exactly in a place where I can easily get to it. Worst case scenario, I just unplug the damn thing, but I've got a little ball shoved in against the edge, which seems to have solved the issue temporarily. Of all the fans in this case, it's the least important, so it not running is not a big deal.
Speaking of the machine, I installed "Neverwinter Nights 2" this morning, as chaosreality got it and found that his machine was below the requirements to run it. Now, Luciphage, here, is not the top-of-the-line, but I like to think he's pretty damn decent. Still, nothing will lower your opinion of your own machine than seeing that recent stuff barely gets by on it. I think a better video card is all it would really need to run NWN2 smoothly, and it wasn't un-playable, just not great. I'm not going to bother, though; they changed the interface, and while part of my problem was just not being used to it, I'm not really happy with some of the changes they made, it didn't feel intuitive at all. Just me, of course, YMMV, but I wasn't crazy about it. The game seems to suffer from what so many of them these days so: beautiful graphics being placed above the game engine/interface. I could have done with much less "pretty" for a better game feel. This is the prevailing attitude, though: Make it Pretty, That's All It Really Needs. Who knows, if I ever upgrade this guy, maybe I'll give it another shot.
