Domestic Foodity
I'm a huge fan of a good gyro. Absolutely LOVE them. There's a little deli near our previous apartment that makes gyros that are to die for, but as I don't live there anymore, it's rare that I get them.
Recently, as Dianna and I were figuring out the menu for a couple weeks, in order to go get groceries, I mentioned trying something different than the chicken stir-fry we had listed. I thought aloud that, with some pita bread, tomatoes, and a decent tzatziki sauce, we could do a reasonable facsimile (Di's not much for lamb). This sounded good, so off we went. Apparently, we caught the store on the day they ran out of pita and had not received more, so gotta wait on that, but we could not find the sauce. This bummed me out a little, however, I did find a store-brand "cucumber feta dip" that I thought might be OK.
I gotta tell you...it's fucking fabulous. Holy shit, it's good stuff. Now, just need the pita bread...
