R.I.P. Kevin DuBrow

It is a sad day for old-skool metalheads. Kevin DuBrow, lead singer for the ground-breaking band Quiet Riot, was found dead at his home in Las Vegas on Sunday. Friends reportedly went to his home and found the singer. He was 52. So far, no cause of death has been released.

DuBrow helped form Quiet Riot way back in the halcyon days of 1980, and they were the first metal band to achieve number one status on their debut album in the US, continuing to play ever since. No slacker, DuBrow recorded a collection of cover versions for his first solo album, "In for the Kill," in 2004, and Quiet Riot's latest studio CD, "Rehab", was released on October 3, 2006.

You'll be sorely missed, Kev.
