Speechless

Even those of you who aren't game fans should see this.

Recently, I helped out a fellow CoH player, uziel21, with a long set of missions. It was something I wanted to do anyway, so it wasn't like I went out of my way. In the end, he offered to do custom artwork of a character for each of us that helped. As I was familiar with his work, I was excited about this.

So, I went for broke and asked for work of a character I play named Brainhammer. I hoped that would be OK, because he's kind of a detailed character. You can see pictures of him here (those are reference pix I gave him). All that bright green hardsuit armor and hammer are supposed to be energy constructs, as he's part of The Viridian Guard, a "Green Lantern" tribute team, played by me and my fellow members of "Team Awesome" (just a bunch of us that team up a lot and have a blast).

As time passed, I got more geared up, seeing other pieces he finished. He also joined us in-game, not only having a blast but getting pictures of the rest of the Guard, saying he'd been inspired. Yeah, you better believe that geared us up even more.

Today, I received this:
I expected it to be amazing. What I didn't expect was to be completely speechless. Such a perfect setting, too. Brainhammer is a "tanker", so his job is to get in first, on point, and take the damage while his teammates swoop in and kick the crap out of everything, which they do very well. So, yeah, this is the last thing the enemies of the Guard tend to see: Brainhammer stepping up, hammer in hand, taunting them to attack him...with the rest of the crew right behind him, ready to dish out a little justice.
