the_woodshed a mission for his annual trip to ComiCon: I needed only one issue of Battle Pope to complete my collection. Sadly, it was issue #1. Still, he said he'd look, and I told him I only really needed the newer reprint (it was originally published by Funk-O-Tron, and later reprinted and completed under Image Comics). A few days later, he tells me that, yes, he found it, and so I was happy. however, as things do, it fell through the cracks and was forgotten.So, a few days ago, he tells me he just found it, it's still looking good, and confirms my address to mail it. Today, it arrives...and was I in for a surprise. Not only is it a mint condition first printing of the original Funk-O-Tron run, it's signed by both the creator/writer and the artist.
