Well, it only took 48 hours, but LJ finally mentioned something regarding the layoffs, over in news. Amusing that a service that is all about communication and community is constantly slow to communicate to it's own users. I'm gonna just bet that the post is mostly fueled by the downtime we had yesterday, which I'm thinking was due to massive amounts of people trying to back up their journals in a "sky is falling" panic.

Anyway, true to form, the post really doesn't say anything. Mentions that the early reports exaggerated the number of layoffs (which we already know), and goes on to play Buzzword Bingo to explain some changes in staff placement. Assurances are given that they aren't closing down (which we also already know).

I'm still not going anywhere. I like it here, and it works. Still, gotta say, I'm glad I don't actually depend on the LJ staff to get me info in a timely or concise manner.
