April 14th, 2002

What a wonderfully pointless day. And I mean that in a good way.

After my little drama this morning, the rest of the day was spent sittin' on my ass, mostly playing Freedom Force and downloading skins for it...and doing a little scanning and uploading and watching movies.

Kinda nice to do nothin' for a change.

Many Happy Returns!

Since it is officially the 14th, I want to wish Happy Birthday to mnemosyne138, but even more importantly, I want to pass those greetings on to my good friend, urban_bard, who, under her previous name, introduced me to LiveJournal in the first place. I haven't gotten to talk to her in a long time, but she is still in my heart. I miss you, Apryl! ((HUGGZ))

Famous BIrthdays

Just because they are gods, I have to ask you all to join me in wishing Happy Birthday to John Kay (Steppenwolf) and to Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple), who are both getting even older this weekend.

Rock Forever! (*banging head*)

First off, a quote I snagged from hazeleyedgal_25, who got it from elsewhere, and so on and son on...

No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make you cry.

Except maybe in happiness, but that's different.

Also known widely as the Fire Bird, the phoenix is a profound symbol of the circle of life. It has a life cycle of 500 to 600 ears and after that amount of time, it sets itself on fire and dies in the flames. Then after three days, it rises again from the ashes. It is a completely benign creature who lives in dew. It is said that the phoenix has a beautiful melidous song which grows ever more mournful as its life comes to an end. It is a symbol of the sun and immortality. The phoenix is a very worthwhile beast.

What mythical beast best represents you?Take the quiz!

I just discovered that Dita Von Teese is now dating Marilyn Manson! Wha...? I'd have thought she had more taste than that...and you can't tell me that she doesn't have a better selection to choose from.

Fuckin' Hollyweird....
