Shout Out

A big Happy Birthday shout out to othiym, who I have still not seen since she moved to my city. Hope the day kicks ass!

Both of these are "not work safe", so don't go popping them open at the office...unless you work for Larry Flynt, in which case, are you hiring?

Model Vs. Photographer: "This series was created during a period of modest desperation. I had nobody available who was willing to model, but I wanted to keep moving ahead with cranking out images. While sitting around pondering this, I was struck by the idea that it would be hilarious if I would mimic the poses of models I had shot previously."

Porno Cue Cards: (Quicktime video) This is a commercial for an Italian sex shop, but it's damn funny. Nothing visually bad, but the sounds are well beyond suggestive.

Before anything else, I want to thank you guys. Partially, I want to thank you for your support, but mostly I want to thank you for intelligent support. It would have been all too easy to just mindlessly say "Yeah, me too!" or something equally in agreement but pointless. instead, though, I found the support and smiles that comes from friends, the way it should be...and that helped a lot.

Now then, on with the show: I've always found that some of my best creativity comes when I'm annoyed. I guess it's that, since I'm in a freaky mood, I become a bit of a perfectionist about whatever I'm doing. I don't want to have something else screw up, if I'm pissed off...and thus, some of my best work emerges. Today, darkboy23 got the full extent of my creative rush. This icon...OK, it may not really LOOK like much, but it was a complex bit of engineering to pull off...

However, regardless of the time and energy spent, I'm very happy with it. Hope he is, too.

Random Work

After calming down, I realized that I will probably still throw in on the occasional contest, if it's interesting enough. One was to make up a movie and make a poster for it...and that I HAD to get in on. Gamers will probably recognize that I ripped off "Kult" a little for the story, as well as "Silent Hill"...but whatever. I'm mainly just really pleased at the way the poster came out.

Just watched Ringu 2...and loved it, of course. It didn't have quite the 'punch' of the first one, but was still excellent, for all that. I'd go into detail, but I don't think most of you care...and I don't feel like typing it all out. Suffice it to say I'm geared up for getting hold of Ringu 0: Bâsudei, and hoping against hope that I can get hold of Rasen. Now, I just need to get some paid work, so I can track down and order these films...

Also discovered that there is a sequel to the American version due out end of this year (or so). The Ring 2 will not be following the plot of the Japanese sequel, but rather heading off in a new direction. That's a little annoying, but it's very Hollywood...and really, it's probably a good thing. Hollywood screws up every time they remake something, so it's nice to see them doing something original for a change.
