OK, you all know I'm a huge
Hellraiser fan. Huge. So, yes, even a shitty sequel will find it's way into my DVD player. Now, don't take this the wrong way, unlike most people, I enjoyed both
Hellraiser: Inferno (number 5) and
Hellraiser: Hellseeker (number 6). That being said, you can gauge that I'm a pretty die-hard fan who will give some slack to something I'm hopeful of, right?
With that in mind, lemme tell ya,
Hellraiser: Deader (number 7) and
Hellraiser: Hellworld (number 8) are simply hideous. Just plain bad. Badly written, badly acted, badly directed, with continuity problems, glaring goofs, and no connection whatsoever to the entire Hellraiser mythos. Don't get me wrong, I'll still own them...I'd drive myself crazy if I didn't, knowing they were out there and I didn't have the whole series (I know, I'm crazy, but I'm the same one racking up all the
Friday the 13th films, too, and we all know what THEY are like).
Well, anyway. If you had been wavering and managed to not see them yet, this is your confirmation not to bother.
