Frank The Bunny (Countdown)

'Blade' on TV

When the movie Blade came out back in '98, I wasn't impressed. I'd always thought the original comic character was a wooden, one-dimensional , annoying ass, and I thought the movie played that pretty well, all while ripping off White Wolf and using Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff, and Kris Kristofferson badly. The fact that it spawned two sequels was just par for the Hollywood course.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, your mileage may vary...and if you are someone who really liked the movies, then you'll be happy to hear that Spike TV has given the green-light for a television series based on Marvel Super Hero “Blade” as the network’s first original scripted series. The network has ordered 11 one-hour episodes, in addition to the previously announced two-hour kick-off episode, to be produced by New Line Television, set to commence production in Vancouver this spring. “Blade” premieres in June 2006.

Goofy News

Quebec seizes yellow margarine, Raids turn up 72 tubs. - Agriculture Department inspectors swooped down on four Wal-Mart stores in the Quebec City area yesterday and seized 72 plastic tubs of yellow margarine with an estimated street value of $179.28. The margarine is butter yellow, which makes it illegal for sale in Quebec.

Friday the 13th...Part 12?!? - Someone's got the bug to make another, and this time they want to 'explain his origin'...like that hasn't been done before. Please, please, don't subject the original badass slasher to the same crappy treatment that gave us the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, huh? Whattaya say?

A mum bought her children a My Little Pony cartoon on DVD as a treat - but was horrified to find it actually contained a hardcore pornographic film. - Oops.

Yes, it's that time again, time for you to blow off work and home for 20 minutes, relax in front of your machine, and smile. Think you're up for it? It's a BIG one this time (which is what I told zombiedip when she divorced her ex and came to be with me!)...
