Frank The Bunny (Countdown)

Karma's a Bitch

So, after sleeping in a bit this morning, I'm checking my e-mail, surfing a bit, before I get going on my day. Out my window, there's Jerkface McMustang, wandering around and looking annoyed. I roll my eyes and ignore it, until I see him coming to my door. Christ, what does he fucking want? I think to myself. I open the door, and he wonders if I saw anyone around his girlfriend's car. Seems they found it like I see it now: door open, stereo stolen, other things in the car stolen. Lucky for me, I hadn't seen a thing. Nope, can't help ya.

I hate to be so full of Schadenfreude, but damn it was nice to see. Especially since there's a good chance it was directed at them specifically, since my car is just three cars down, and just another car over is a car with a laptop sitting in it, and one more over from that, a lot of expensive tools. Plenty of things that COULD have been fucked with, but they chose her stereo. Hey, maybe it was random, but maybe not, eh? On the other hand, his front left tire is flat, AGAIN. Who knows.

Interesting epilogue: they get in the car and leave, a bit later. Not long after, I see chaosreality pull up, and I step out to talk to him. Few minutes later, a cop pulls up, obviously cruising, and about the time he looks like he's found what he's looking for (or he's fascinated by my bumper stickers, which is a definite possibility), we talk to him. Nope, he's here about the call...and they've left. Yes, they called the cops about the break-in, and then left. Go figure. Took the opportunity to talk to him about the bike-riding fucktard across the street, though, so that's cool too.

Yes, the morning isn't starting out too bad.

Went and saw Di, she's doing better. They are going to keep her one more night, just to be sure, and we agree. Looks like she'll come home tomorrow, and I doubt we'll do anything as far as T'giving is concerned.

Finally managed to pick up my parcel from cobie, and Di and I just couldn't stop laughing as we went through it. Just some of the silliest and coolest items I've seen in one place in a long time. Items of note include a Montana Fatcap (fuckin' cool, gonna have to get more of these, I want!), a set of bacon-and-eggs band-aids (and a breakfast-y card to go with them), and a hip flask (which is, coincidently, something I've always meant to get and never did), with a retro-fabric cover, stamped with Jolly Rogers. Also included were Slinkys, Play-Doh, siren whistles, itty-bitty Devil Ducks, a kazoo, a CoH comic book, and temp tattoos for old people.

Brother, you definitely made my week.

Just got back form seeing Dianna, and things seem to be going well. If nothing bad happens tonight, they should be discharging her tomorrow. guess this means it's the last night I have of being able to stretch out on the whole bed, huh?

Sure has been nice driving her car, this last day or two. Mostly, this is because of the radio. See, in my ugly, ancient little beast, the radio works...fora while...and then forgets how to tune into any station. Sometimes, it remembers, but it tunes into a different station than the one you have it on, sometimes not. The tape player works...but only on the right-side speakers. meanwhile, in the beautiful, brand-new Scion, we have a CD/MP3 player with great bass response. Cruising down the road with AC/DC was wonderful, and coming back with Busta Rhymes thumping out of the speakers was fabulous.

Of course, now, all I really wanna do is crank up the stereo in the house, have a bunch of people over, and drink/party/whatever. Sadly, the only people close enough to join me are either asleep or occupied, probably. Ah well, just as well.
