How appropriate...I finally got a copy of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, which I'll be installing and checking out right after lunch. I swear, I didn't plan to be doing this on H.P. Lovecraft's birthday, but the synchronicity is wonderful.

So, it appears that the US ban on absinthe has been lifted. Interesting, and a hair worrisome. Why? Well, now, really, what does the US do to anything that they finally get their hands on? They find a way to make it cheaper and crappier until the original is lost, and then the citizens step in and go on and on about how wonderful it is. Hell, look what they've done to beer...

Still, it's a milestone, and we can hope, right?
