New batch of wine bottled, not anything that turns me on, but it's done. Next week, though, starting a new batch of Cabernet, which will be nice to get done. Snagged a strange but undeniably interesting early birthday gift from mom-in-law, a carved bit of art of a dragon with some reflective foil behind it. Pretty cool, gotta say.

Ever get some news, out of the blue, that just kinda knocks your head slightly sideways? Man, I got a lot of that, yesterday. The first part of it made me come close to furious (the situation being what it is, I'm holding off speaking about it, suffice it to say that I've never been so close to calling Child Services in my life, and I hate that), the second was incredibly flattering.

Anyway, it's Monday, which for everyone else means "back to work" but for me means "back to normal." Don't y'all work too hard.

Oh, P.S.: Sorry, guys, but "Twitter" just makes me think people's lives are even more mundane than usual, and it's actually sort of annoying when half of your "tweets" are replies to someone else, who isn't represented in your post. The whole idea is just...well, dumb to me. I skip those posts completely. In this day and age of a million ways to update, I just don't see the point in one that, frankly, sucks. No offense, it's your business, and if you like it, then more power to you.

Come To This House, Be One Of The Lunatic People

So, Saturday the 15th. Trying to plan for a "Bad Movies and Booze" night at my place, partly because it's been forever and a day since I had a really good gathering here, and partly because I want to celebrate my birthday that way. I'm thinking the featured film will be Death Race 2000.

Anyway, if you'd like to attend, let me know so I can give you the skinny. No need to being a present, your presence is your present. Bring a drink, though...booze or non-booze, as is your pleasure. All comments screened at this point, to protect information.

This doesn't piss you off? Sure pisses me off. If there was any proof anyone needed about why this country is in such a sad state, here's a good one.
