It's with a great sadness that I mention the passing of Richard Wright
, one of the founding members of music legends Pink Floyd. He'd been dealing with cancer for some time, and it finally got the better of him. He was 65.
I got hooked on Pink Floyd at a young age. They were one of the first few bands that my young mind, finally thinking for itself and exploring the world, chose to fixate on, and they've stood the test of time in both my own mind and the world's. Many has been the day that their music has either lifted or supplemented my own mood, and many will continue to be the decade that I enjoy it.
Rest easy, Mr. Wright. You'll never be forgotten.
