Rock - Home Movies

So, let's see. While the rest of the country was watching the Super Bowl this weekend, I was working on Project OCO (Order into Chaos into Order). This entails taking all 300+ DVDs off Shelf Unit 1, moving them from their cases into a two huge wallets, moving all the videotapes from Shelf Unit 2 to Shelf Unit 1, filling Shelf Unit 2 with all my gaming books, and then figuring out what to do with over 300 empty DVD cases.

The moving is done, for the most part. Still some odds and ends to move with the gaming stuff, and I gotta do something with all these cases, but I think I know where they'll end up. Gotta clean up, too. Back is sore, but glad it's been done, I miss having my gaming stuff at hand. It does, though, remind me that an entire box of books and supplemental stuff disappeared in one of the moves. I think it's in New York, when half my stuff went there between when I moved to Seattle and when Alice brought it out to me. My own fault, really, but I know for a fact that the missing box had all my On The Edge stuff, my copy of World of Synnibar and several other obscure things. It's probably with the sword that never made it here, either. C'est la guerre.

Gaming-wise, I gave 4th edition D&D a fair chance, and just didn't enjoy it. The rest of Friday Night Group 2 agreed, so we've scrapped what we were doing and gone back to 2nd edition, which everyone likes best. Meanwhile, Friday Night Group 1 is still slogging through some Call of Cthulhu stuff, and things are getting mighty hairy. Past that, I dunno yet, there are possibilities in the works, all smoke and mirrors at the moment, but we'll see what I can arrange.

Erik is pretty much bored at his Dad's place. I guess he finally got them to stop storing stuff in his room, but there's still issues. He's also getting a bit miffed with his Grandmother, since she treats him like a little kid. I'm sorry he has to go through this crap, but at the same time, it makes us the cool house, so I'm not complaining. We all talk, have fun, and we don't talk down to him, and he's starting to be old enough to recognize it and appreciate it...just as I said he would. It's fun to be right.

Dianna's still doing crochet, and has started sewing again. Nifty keen...it makes her happy, helps with her carpal tunnel, and creates useful things, what's not to be happy about?

Me? Same ol' same ol'. No worries, I'm always around, and I'll probably never change. For good or ill, for better or for worse, I'm just me. Now, excuse me, I have some Bacon Vodka to get prepped for this weekend.
