typsie made a comment earlier about certain stars and how you'd think their Twitter would be interesting, but just isn't. Think about it, though: 90% of Twitter isn't interesting, anyway; it's mostly just the one-liner pablum of human excrescence. Why should stars have to be 'on' all the time, can't they just babble away like any other schmoe?

If I like a musician, it's because I like their music. If I like an actor, it's due to their acting ability. We like popular people because of something they do that we don't (or, at least, don't get credit for doing). [EDIT: Hell, we even glorify some that do NOTHING.] The rest of that person is still bland humanity. They eat, sleep, shit, fuck, and get bored like the rest of us. Frankly, I'm a little suspicious of stars that ARE always 'on', it's the Hollywood equivalent of Guys With Big Trucks, it makes me wonder if they are compensating for something. It feels like they are desperately trying to not admit that they're normal people.

Hey, like who you like for why you like them. Just remember: they're not gods or heroes. They're just folks.
