Take my friend Gwen's husband, just as a 'for instance'. This slimemonkey is up here in Seattle with her and their 3 kids for a little vacation/visit. They both want time to get out to see old friends, so they have arranged a schedule so that each of them can have time while the other stays with the boys. Seems fair, right? Sure.
Now, come time for him to arrive back, where is he? No one knows. Not only that, their youngest, Cai (one of my godsons), is sick enough Gwen hasd to take him in to see a doctor, and even with repeated messages left for him, he doesn't bother to show back up.
So, a day later than he was supposed to, he saunters back in the door. Long and short of it all? Well, he didn't know if the door would be inlocked when he got there, so he slept over at some friend's place, and once he got the mesages, they were back home, so he figured everything was ok. Besides, apparently he just "didn't want to come home."
Yep. You read that right.
Apparently, he was having fun for the first time in well over a year, and didn't feel like coming back to his family. In fact, he hasn't been happy for over a year now. Keep in mind, this idiot is military, and has been out deployed for most of that year, but whatever (yeah, i feel REALLY safe knowing that someone like HIM is defending my country...).
Let's add to this, shall we? On top of that, yes, he loves her still, but he loves his ex-wife, too (?!?), and he's not sure he really desires Gwen's presence. So, since she wante to move back to here anyway, he suggests she get an Apartment Guide and start looking for a place for her and the boys. She can apply for all the military assistance, etc., no worries. Once he can get transferred up here, they'll see about working things out. Oh, and she should NEVER question his love for the boys, that's why he came back home.
Is it just me, or is anyone ELSE feeling a homicidal rage right now? Gwen, doll...you can do so much better than him.
