During a break,
daemonwise, matrixleap and myself ended up in the front yard and the street, tossing a frisbee around. That was fun, but there were a bunch of kids playing in the yard next door. One of them came in our direction, and joined in. That got the rest of them interested...before we really knew it, there were a good half dozen kids, all between ages 4 and 8 or so, running around with us as we all tossed around the frisbee, a football, and a small basketball. Part of it was just playing catch, later on the football became the focus of the kids trying to take us down. Honestly, it was some of the most fun I've had in a while. Funny, too, because it started from us hearing the kids laughter, and remarking how nice it would be to be so carefree. Seems like we managed to reach that point after all, even if only for a little while.
Here's to forgetting your adult responsibilities and just being a kid for a bit.
