R.I.P. Rosa Maude Cowan

I just found out that my grandmother passed away, early this morning. That's the last of my grandfolks, gone. She was...oh, 80-something, and this was not a surprise. her mind had been going for a while, her body right behind, and frankly, I'm a little impressed she lasted this long. I don't think she did well after Big Dad (my grandfather) died, so it's all for the best.

I'm perfectly fine with all this, BTW. I haven't seen her in ten years, so it's not exactly a big blow to lose her. I'm not glad she's dead, of course, but I am glad she's no longer barely hanging on to a crappy quality of life. Now, we get to watch my money-obsessed asshole uncle's true colors come out in full force.
