Eyeborg Bionic Eye Camera Shows Winks and All - After a shooting accident left Canadian filmmaker Rob Spence partially blind, he decided to create his own electronic eye. Now he calls himself Eyeborg. Spence's bionic eye contains a battery-powered, wireless video camera. Not only can he record everything he sees just by looking around, but soon people will be able to log on to his video feed and view the world through his right eye.

The “Eizo: Pin-up Calendar 2010” is really different. This pin-up calendar offers you more than the usual nude: this medical supply company opted to show X-rays of the models. (Technically safe for work, though these are x-rays of nudes. While you don't actually see any flesh, the suggestion might be enough to make some offices unhappy.)

In the early part of the 20th century, French-Jewish capitalist Albert Kahn set about to collect a photographic record of the world. The images were held in an 'Archive of the Planet'. Before the 1929 stock market crash, he was able to amass a collection of 180,000 metres of b/w film and more than 72,000 autochrome plates, the first industrial process for true colour photography. Some of the images can be seen here, and they are stunning.
