Fired up DVM this morning (for those that don't know, that's my main computer), and had a major update to my virus software. OK, no sweat. it does its thing and reboots, all is well...until I discover that WoW will no longer fire up correctly. Sometimes, it gets caught in a loop, sometimes crashes to desktop. Repair utility says it can't help, reinstall.

Oh, boy. Panic mode, engaged.

So, full reinstall, and it hangs up on the last patches. Great, Yogi. Adrenaline spikes further. Get those manually handled, fire it up...same issue. *twitch* Wipe it clean, again, uninstall the virus scanner, reboot, start all over again. Decide this is an excellent time to cut the lawn, only to find that Di has the garage door opener, and there's no other way inside. Yeah, day just keeps getting better and better.

In the end, finally got it all done, fired up right, no worries. Of course, by this time, I've been in adrenaline-rush mode for6 hours, and my system is nauseous, twitchy, and ready to simply shut down, violently. Once Di got home, I got the yard handled, which burned off some of it, and spent the rest of the evening catching up on my missions and making a completely new UI layout, nearly from scratch.

It's been way too long a day. Good thing it started really well. Also, was introduced to The IT Crowd, which is hilarious.

I'm beat.
