When Di took the new job, we knew it was less than she had been making. She also knew that she'd be paying state income tax, but figured it'd be OK. Turns out she was wrong. According to what she told me today, she's coming up about $600 a month less than before, and thus, no way we can keep the house.
Now, this leaves a rather awkward situation. She could move to the trailer at her folks' place, or Erik's other grandparents have offered to let her move in there. She could try and get an apartment, too. All of these options, though, leave me homeless. Not exactly wonderful news.
Tomorrow morning, I was already planning on hitting up a temp agency, hopefully they can get me working. With that, I can pay to make up the difference, at least for the time I'm here, but that time will now be extended, since that's a lot less I can be saving for my own move. Needless to say, this doesn't exactly please me. After all, $600 a month is full rent in some places, but that's what I'll have to pay her.
So, yeah...this royally sucks. I need to be working, and I need to be out, but the way it looks right now, even when I get working, I still won't be able to get out of here any time soon. I dunno what to do. I need help, and I don't have a clue where to look for it.
