OK, so I've officially seen my first big difference. Sure, the place is nothing like where I just came from, but the first thing that kinda hit me. Grocery store, drink/beer aisle. I'm used to looking at the beer section and the Bud/Miller/Coors/Etc. area being maybe 25% of the row, with Corona/Tecate/Dos Equis/Etc. being another 25%, and the remaining half being microbrews. etc. Here? 75-80% of the row is Budweiser and that ilk. I know I'm right by Milwaukee, so it wasn't surprising, just weird to see. Luckily, I'm not a beer guy. Gonna have to search a while to find a decent Hefeweizen or something that isn't like making love in a canoe.
