Let Sleeping Freaks Lie...Ben's on the floor

Been a long weekend so far. Haven't even been home since Friday morning, so I'm STILL wearing the leather pants I wore to work monday. Let me tell you, that can get kinda uncomfortable after 3 days...*LOL*

Went and saw 'Planet of the Apes' yesterday. I am impressed. It was different enough from the original that it made a great movie in it's own right. I wasn't sitting around thinking 'This is a good remake', I just enjoyed it. I only caught 2 lines that they re-used from the original, and they weren't bad, yeah, I groaned, but I loved it anyway. And what a cast: Tim Roth, David Warner, Helena Bonham-Carter, Paul Giamatti...all peeps I like. The only problem I had with it was a small point at the very end (DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE, SKIP TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH). At the end, Leo gets back in the alpha pod, and heads into the electrical storm, and you can clearly see the time scale going backwards, but when he lands on Earth again, he is very obviously in the future...which did not sit well with me. If they had just cut that little half-second of timer out of the movie, I'd have no complaints.

Christian is up here for the weekend, which is cool. He is Alice's ex, but they haven't been together for a good year-and-a-half, two years, something like that. He's looking really good, actually, lost 30 pounds, shaved his goatee, I'm proud of him. We dragged him to the Catwalk last night, which was interesting, to say the least, but all was cool.

Well, it's 10:30 in the morning, and Heidi is still asleep, so I'm crawling back into bed. It's cold out here, and it's warm in there...go figure.
