Friday Pix: Notes
I understand that there were some issues with viewing this past week's Friday Pix. Sadly, i have no fix for that, as it appears to be a Tumblr issue. So, the scorecard now stands as so:
- Scrapbook: frequently doesn't load right, or doesn't let me upload right, or loses pictures
- Tumblr: apparently decides, after a few viewings, to go belly-up
- Facebook: hint for some of you: pics linked from FB don't always show up in some browsers. I constantly have to dig into the source code to find your pic URL. So, not using that for the Pix.

*sigh* One day, when I'm working again, I'll break down and get some hosted webspace and then it'll all be cool, hopefully. might even put my web site back up...which I'll have to redo form scratch, thanks to it's being deleted oh-so-recently (bitter? moi?). In the meantime, I'll make sure and always include a link to The Friday Pix Tumblr, so if you can't see it, you can go find them anyway (last-to-first of course, but what can you do?). Also, this'll be handy for going back for old pix, as I won't have to clean it out every so often.

Sorry, amigos. Doin' my best.

I am not supposed to be online but I got a bit of food poisoning (yay me!). I have a server and host my sites on it, I can host yours as well if you want. For free of course.

Feel better soon!

As seems to keep happening, you prove you are just too sweet. If it comes to that, I'll take you up on it. It gets a lot of traffic, and I wouldn't want to hurt your bandwidth, and there's some merit to having it elsewhere (I've already had one person "follow" the Tumblr), so I might just make do with this, for convenience. Still, very good to know, and I appreciate the offer. it may yet come in handy. :)

I am just using it for mail right now, and my sites are low traffic and such for when they do go up. I am basically set up to be a reseller of domains and web space. I host on MediaTemple.

Was your site blocked from the spiders? Because if not, there may well be an archive at Google.

I've checked the archives, and some pf the pages are sort of there, but parts are missing...like all the actual images. The content. All that's left is the shell of the HTML, really...and hell, it was due for an overhaul, anyway. it's not even like I've used it for anything in forever, it's just the principle of the thing.

Why not try Photobucket duder? It's served me faithfully for years!

I'll keep it in mind. I know I'm avoiding Flickr, I just don't dig on it. I haven't checked into Photobucket, though, have to do that.

i've had a photobucket account since they came out. i've got all sorts of stuff stored over there. AND they give you the option to download any album you create - one click. flickr doesn't; you have to go through seven layers of hell to download your pictures. :(

Crovean in Nashville TN is my host. He's independent, and he's awesome. If I screw something up, he fixes it for me. I've been with him almost three years now.

$30 a year for all kinds of free goodies, wads of bandwidth, and one gig of webspace.

Am I remembering right that you have gmail? 'Cos Picasa is owned by Google, and you get oodles of free space there, awreddy... You could, theoretically, have each Friday set be its own folder...
