It's becoming a bit of a running joke that every time I go out to fire up my new grill, it rains. So far, the only time it didn't, it was threatening to do so, and just managed to hold off. So, no surprise that, last night as I made up some burgers, the skies opened up. I was going to go on out and grill anyway, but in the end, I opted against it. Still, made some damn fine burgers. Washed them down with a couple of cold Shiner Bocks (and thought of you, dravengodvamp).
For whatever reason, in the last several months, I've been naturally getting up earlier and earlier. I tend to be out of bed by 5, 5:30am now. No clue why. Still, yesterday, I came over incredibly tired, and ended up sleeping until 7am this morning. It's a weird feeling to see 7am as sleeping late.
We might have finally found a med that took away Jessica's headaches. Some of the potential side-effects are a little scary, but it's good to see her pain-free for the first time in a long time. Needless to say, it has improved her mood and outlook on things, and I can't blame her at all. I'm just glad to have my lady back.

On that subject, things are going very well. As things have stabilized, we've done better and better, and apart from one odd moment recently, things simply continue to shine. The last few days in particular have been fabulous, for both of us.
Dug up some yard plants and cut down two more small trees in the front yard this weekend. My shoulder hadn't quite healed from screwing it up last weekend, but I wanted to get this all done. That shoulder is screaming at me now, but there's not much I can do about it. It's the worst when I first wake up, as I usually find I'm sleeping on it. After an hour or so, it calms down to a dull roar. One day, when I have insurance again, I'll get it looked at...again.
I might have an "in" working on the line at Canon in a couple of months. Not exactly what I'd want to do, but better than nothing, which is what I'm doing now. If nothing else, I can try and get the job and get enough money to get my stuff out of here, as I feel bad asking madeofmeat to hold on to it for so long. That was never the plan, but the best laid plans of mice and men...
"That post" has been made. Just sayin'.
