God of Thunder and Rock'n'Roll

Somewhere around noon yesterday, the power went out, AGAIN...and this time, it was off until 8pm. It hung in there until about 10, and died for an hour or so, might have flickered in the night, but seems to finally be stable. The storm has passed us, so it's just some residual wind and rain. The storm ended up taking a more easterly turn, which means that it mostly avoided us, in the end. For all that this was a killer 'cane, we pretty much just had a long and heavy rainstorm, and I'm not complaining.

As far as damage goes, our neighbor lost a large branch off a tree, and I don't know how it happened. When it fell, there wasn't much going on at the time, so perhaps it's as Jessica said, it just committed suicide. The only other damage to speak of was the fact that I slammed my right thumb in a window, and it hurts like a mofo.

So, yeah. We're fine, we're all fine down here, just fine...how're you?
