We had Bug a lot this week (UpChuck was sick, so we got him more than usual...cool!). Let me tell you, he can be a lot of fun to play with, even if he is annoying sometimes (but c'mon, he's six!) and a bit of a momma's boy (which, given the circumstances of his life so far, makes perfect sense). But he thinks I'm pretty cool, and he likes that I have cool toys and comic books, so it's all good. It sure is frustrating watching him play Quake, though. It's not his fault, he's not exactly perfectly coordinated, etc...so again, it's all good.
Things with Di and I are wonderful. And now that we have my bed, and posters up, and my stuff, it really feels even more like home. And that makes things even better. The last hurdle will be for me to find a fucking job.
Yes, the job hunt continues. I could go get a job at a grocery store or something really low-key, true...and if it comes down to that, I soon shall. But after working in the corporate sector for so long, it's hard to dumb myself back down to that level. I'd really rather not, if I can help it. Luckily, I have a wonderful and understanding lady beside me, who knows that it can take some time to find a good job, and supports me in this. I do not want to let her down in any way.
Plus, I don't want to go get some manual labor job with my shoulder hurting the way it does. Fuck this thing. Maximum maximum suckage. 'Nuff said about that.
Oh well...she'll be home in a few minutes for lunch. Big smiles for me...
